OUR MISSION: We exist to bring glory to God through lives changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are a PCA church dedicated to the good of Bonita Springs, Southwest Florida and beyond as we follow Jesus. He has called us by His grace with the purpose of being a blessing to those around us for His glory.

We are a welcoming community seeking to discover who Jesus is and what He has done. There is no one special here although we do have many uniquely gifted and incredible people. But we do serve a special God as we live and move forward by His grace, which is our heartbeat and hope.

To get a better feel for who we are please learn more about our Staff & Leadership, look through our News and visit one Sunday.

Brad’s Story

Brad, growing up, used to swing on a tire from a massive American Pin-oak in his mom’s backyard. When it started to die from a fungus, they cut it down, kiln-dried it over several months, and then cut the wood into planks to build the mother-of-all dining tables.

And it was truly beautiful. The fungus left black lines (or “spalting”) that trace the curve of the wood grain, separating deep red hues from pale gold areas where the fungus discolored the tree. Over the last several years, that table has been the constant host of quiet dinners and crazy parties. It has witnessed tears of celebration and sorrow, sighs of contentment and helplessness. It has been the setting of severe grief and loss, but also remarkable personal breakthroughs and reconciled marriages.

In short, it has been the single greatest catalyst of human flourishing in their home. In a similar way the community at Oak River is intended to be like that table, a place and a people God can use to bring all the broken aspects of life and begin to transform them. We know it’s the grace of Jesus Christ that does this but God is so kind to work through us. It’s a celebration of God’s grace. Come join us!

“The gospel is this: We are more sinful and flawed in ourselves than we ever dared believe,
yet at the very same time we are more loved and accepted in Jesus Christ than we ever dared hope.”
